Lectors

A lector is a reader who proclaims the Scripture readings during the Liturgy, lending a human voice to God’s word, that it might be heard and understood. A lector should have a passion for Scripture, an ability to interpret and understand Scripture, and sufficient public speaking skills to proclaim the word of God to the assembly.  The Lector Ministry requires prayer, training, skill, a humble presence, and transparency to the word of God. Formation in the ministry is provided throughout the year, and individually when necessary.  Lectors are assigned on a rotating schedule.

The coordinator and trainer of the Lector Ministry is Carolyn Bullinger
