Griefshare is a support group for people rebuilding life after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. The group will meet weekly for 13 weeks, starting September 3, 2019 at 1:00 PM in Gillin Hall.  People are welcome to join the group at any time.

Griefshare has 3 components: video, support group discussions and personal study. Each week attenders will watch a video featuring experts on grief and recovery.  Video review and support group discussion will follow. A workbook will be used for personal reflection.

All are welcome to attend Griefshare at any session. Each session is “self-contained,” so attendance in sequence is not necessary. Attenders will find encouragement and support at each session.
Registration is required. Please call 803-788-3252, ext. 327, to register and/or ask questions. There is a $20 fee for the workbook. If the fee is a financial hardship, please speak to the parish nurse when registering.

Good Grieving

Good Grieving is a program that helps children and teens ages 5 to 17 learn how to cope with loss and death of a loved one.

There are four sessions offered throughout the year to help children through their normal grieving process and help them adjust to loss.  Children are encouraged to attend all four sessions; they can work through the year and into the following year, if necessary, to complete all four seasons.

The Good Grieving program for parents/caregivers/guardians is a one-session introduction to the child's program that begins the same night.  The purpose of this program is to improve communication with the child and increase the family's understanding of their child's grief.

Both programs are FREE and supper will be provided.

This program is offered through Palmetto Health children's Hospital.
